ヴィンテージ好きの彼は、最近TCBのGジャンも愛用してくれています。

彼の作業場には、数多くのヴィンテージデニムがアーカイブされていて、それらをリファレンスに、色はもちろんのこと、ヒゲ、ダメージ、汚れに至るまで徹底的に再現していきます。

加えて、生のデニムを実際に着て、育てていることも、彼の加工の説得力を高める要素の一つ。児島には数多くの加工職人がいますが、自らデニムを育て、その経年変化を体感しているからこそ再現できる「リアル」がある。
そんな彼の背中を見ていると、あらためてそう感じさせられます。

K is a denim aging specialist who transforms brand-new jeans into beautifully worn-in pieces—as if they had traveled through a time machine.

A true vintage enthusiast, he’s recently been wearing TCB’s own denim jacket with pride.

His workshop is filled with an archive of vintage denim pieces, which he uses as references. From the overall fade to the whiskers, damage, and even stains—every detail is carefully and faithfully reproduced.

What gives his work even more authenticity is the fact that he actually wears raw denim himself and lives in it. In Kojima, there are many skilled denim processing craftsmen, but only those who truly experience the aging process firsthand can reproduce that deep sense of “reality.”

Watching him work, we’re constantly reminded of that truth.
