CatharttのPaw Stripeが予約受付中のこのタイミングに合わせて、撮り溜めていたViktorの写真を紹介します。

今年の2月、SwedenのViktorの自宅裏に広がる銀世界で撮影しました。
撮影はどうせSwedenを撮るならといつものLeicaでは無くHasselbladを持っていき挑んだのですが雪がレフ板の役目をしてくれて、空気は澄んでいて、彼の暮らしとスタイルが静かに溶け込んでいました。

彼が羽織っているのは、CatharttのPaw Stripeの上に重ねたヴィンテージのB-7。今どきB-7をリアルに着こなす人は、彼ぐらいかもしれません。

Stifel系の生地も数多く見てきたであろう彼が、私たちの抜染生地を見て「とても良いね」と言ってくれ、プライベートでも愛用してくれていることを、作り手として本当に嬉しく思います。

As Cathartt’s Paw Stripe is now open for pre-orders, we’d like to share some photos we’ve been holding onto of Viktor.

We shot them this past February in the snowy landscape just behind Viktor’s home in Sweden. Wanting to do justice to the Swedish scenery, I left the usual Leica behind and brought my Hasselblad for this shoot. The snow acted as a natural reflector, the air was crisp, and his lifestyle and sense of style quietly melted into the silence of it all.

He’s wearing a vintage B-7 layered over the Cathartt Paw Stripe. These days, there may be no one else who can wear a B-7 so naturally and authentically as he does.

Having likely seen countless Stifel-type fabrics over the years, Viktor looked at our discharge-printed fabric and said, “This is really good.” Knowing he even wears it in his private life — as a maker, that means the world to us.

Now that I think of it, I’m starting to feel like winding up the phonograph again.
