50’s JeansとBaker PT、ようやく再生産が完了してオンラインストアとTCB SHOPに並びました。
お待ちいただいていた皆様、お待たせしました！

今回のBaker PT、改めて縫製仕様を確認してみると──
前と後ろのポケットはどちらも2本針ミシン。
お尻、脇、内股はすべて巻き縫いミシンで仕上げられ、腰帯も上下ともにチェーンステッチ。
改めて見ても、本当に合理的に、そしてしっかり作られているなあと実感します。

そして、時代を同じくする1950年代のジーンズも、まさに「ジーンズの完成形」と言われるモデル。
あまり服に対して“ミッドセンチュリー”という言葉は使わないかもしれませんが、クルマと同じく、今なお現代の基準になっているものが多い気がします。

ジーンズもミリタリーも、“かっこいい”以前にまず合理的。
当時のものづくりには、製造業としての思想が強く残っていて、それが今になっても色あせない魅力になっているように思います。

今日の写真は、穿き込まれた50’sとBaker PT。
どちらも抜群にかっこいいし、デニムとオリーブのバックサテンを並べたときの生地の相性もすごく良いのが伝わると思います。

50’s Jeans and Baker PT are finally restocked and now available both online and at the TCB SHOP.
To everyone who’s been waiting—thank you for your patience!

Taking a fresh look at the construction of this run of the Baker PT, we’re reminded just how thoughtfully these pants are made.
Both the front and back pockets are sewn with a double-needle machine.
The seat, side seams, and inseam are all done with wrap seams, and the waistband is chain-stitched both top and bottom.
Even after all these years, it still strikes us how efficient—and solid—this construction really is.

The jeans from the same 1950s era are also often called the “final form” of denim.
We don’t usually apply the term “mid-century” to clothing, but like cars from the same time, many of the standards from back then still hold up today.

Both jeans and military garments are rooted in function before fashion.
The craftsmanship of that era reflects the mindset of manufacturing, and that’s exactly what still makes them so appealing even now.

Today’s photos show worn-in pairs of the 50’s Jeans and the Baker PT.
Both look incredible, and you can really see how well denim pairs with the olive back satin fabric.
We definitely recommend styling Baker PT with a denim jacket or a coverall—it works so well.
