今より10数年前、私は実店舗を持つかどうかを悩んでいました。
工場の中にお店を作って作ってる空気感や、匂いをLIVEで楽しんで貰いたいと思ったから。
でもTCBのある場所は人なんて殆ど通らない場所。
流石に当時徐々にSNSは普及してましたが、『こんな場所でお店をして大丈夫？』
という葛藤がいつもグルグルと回ってた事を思い出します。
岡山の商業地は何処がベストだろう？って調べてみたり、当時オリンピックが東京で開催される事が決定した頃だったので、東京オリンピックまでには東京にお店をつくろうぜ！って企んでみたり.

その頃に出会ったのがMOTOの本池秀夫さん。
最初にTCBに遊びに来て頂いたのが始まりだったんですが、私は勇気を出して
『今度はMOTOにお邪魔させてください！』
と伝えました。
Google mapで場所を確認すると、決して良い場所には思えない。
きっと店とは名ばかりで作ってるだけの場所だろうなと思ってたのに到着すると大間違い。
全国からMOTOに遊びに来るためだけに沢山のお客さんがご来店されてる。
その景色を見た時に、私は
『しっかりと物作りをしていたら、お店の場所はあまり関係ない時代が来るのかも』
と感じました。
俗に言うディストネーションストアという形です。

それからは確信を持って工場内にお店を作り、少しづつでは有りますがお店っぽくなっていけてる事に感謝をしています。

私がお店を作った唯一の後悔と言っても過言ではない？のが
MOTOさんの毎年恒例のGWイベントに遊びに行けなくなった事笑
それをMOTOさんに伝えたら
『だったらTCBも参加したら良い』
とお声かけ頂き、久しぶりにイベントにお邪魔する形となりました。

私は毎日必ずMOTOさんで作られた物を身につけて生活しています。
普段写真の様なジャラ付けは流石にしませんが、イーグルを生まれた場所に里帰りさせてあげたいので３羽連れて行こうと思っています。
もちろんそれは自己満足なんだけど、TCBのファクトリーショップもお客さんがTCBを着用して里帰りする。そんな場所で有りたいと願うばかりです。

A few years ago, I was thinking about whether to have a brick-and-mortar store.
I wanted to set up a store in a factory so people could enjoy the atmosphere and smell of the products being made live.
But the location of TCB is a place where hardly anyone passes by.

At that time, social media was gradually becoming more popular, but I remember always wondering, “Is it okay to set up a store in a place like this?”
I researched what the best commercial area in Okayama would be, and since it was around the time that it was decided that the Olympics would be held in Tokyo, I tried to plan to set up a store in Tokyo before the Olympics!

Around that time, I met Hideo Motoike of MOTO.
It all started when he first came to visit TCB, but I mustered up the courage to tell him, “Next time, let me visit MOTO!”
When I checked the location on Google Maps, it didn’t seem like a good place at all.
I thought it was more of a factory than a shop but when I arrived, I noticed that I was completely wrong.

Many customers come from all over the country just to visit MOTO.
When I saw that scene, I felt that
“Maybe there will come a time when the location of the store doesn’t matter so much if you make things well.”
It’s what is commonly called a destination store.
After that, I confidently set up a store in the factory, and I’m grateful that it’s slowly becoming more like a store.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the only regret I have about setting up the store is that
I can’t go to MOTO’s annual Golden Week event anymore lol
When I told MOTO about it, they said, “If that’s the case, why don’t you join in our event?”
So I was able to attend the event for the first time in a long time.

I wear something made by MOTO every day.
I don’t usually do things like the photo, but I want to return the eagles to their birthplace, so I’m thinking of taking three of them with me.
Of course, it’s just for my own satisfaction, but customers also wear TCB to return to the TCB factory shop. I hope it can be that kind of place.

TCB SHOP will be open during the Golden Week holiday.
*Factory will be closed according to the calendar. During this period, the store is expected to be crowded, so if you bring in your jeans with a hemming request, we may respond by mail at a later date.
