同じ生地でも付き合い方が変わると左右で全然色の雰囲気が変わるのが確認出来ると思います。
100人に『ヴィンテージデニムの色は？』って聞けば、100通りの答えが返ってくる正解不正解の無い世界がジーンズの面白さ。
右のジーンズが最高にカッコイイという人もいれば、なんか汚いという人もいます。
一見汚く見えるジーンズでも
『ガレージで作業で穿いてて』
なんて言われると最高にカッコ良く見えるし
ノッペリした洗い過ぎじゃない？って言いたくなるジーンズも
『波乗り用の相棒です』
って説明されたら一気にカッコ良く見えてくる。
結局はジーンズがある生活というストーリーとかけ算された瞬間に最高の色落ちとなるんだと思います。
今後もその生活とストーリーが途絶えない様に出来たら良いなと思います。

20’sと言えばバックシンチと剥き出しリベット、サスペンダーボタンと19世紀の雰囲気も残しつつベルトループも付いてる時代の移行期。
ちょっと雑な説明だけど、実は時代考証を無視しても501の歴史150年強の中で1番ディテール満載なのがこの時代の特徴だと思います。
何本もジーンズを持たれてる方が新たな一本が欲しいと言われた時もクローゼットにあるジーンズと被りづらくお勧めするのがこのジーンズ。
12.5ozという厚さもこれからの時期でも全然穿いて頂けると思います。

Even with the same fabric, the way they’re worn changes everything—you can see how the colors on the left and right have completely different vibes.

If you ask 100 people, “What color is vintage denim?” you’ll get 100 different answers.
There’s no right or wrong, and that’s what makes jeans so fascinating.

Some might say the jeans on the right look insanely cool, while others might think they just look dirty.
But if you hear, “These were worn for garage work,” suddenly, they seem incredibly badass.
On the other hand, a pair that looks too flat and overwashed might feel uninspiring—until someone says, “This is my surfing buddy.” Then, in an instant, it takes on a whole new meaning.

In the end, the best fades happen when jeans become a part of someone’s life and story.
I hope we can continue to create jeans that become a part of those stories.

The 20’s model features a back cinch, exposed rivets, and suspender buttons, carrying over the essence of the 19th century while also incorporating belt loops—a true transitional era.
To put it simply, even without getting into historical accuracy, I’d say this era had the most loaded details in all of 501’s 150+ year history.
