今回の新企画のカバーオールでは、もちろん UNION SPECIAL 35800G を使用し、9/32インチの3本針で縫製しました。
ワークウェアでよく見られる、デニムに生成り糸のステッチがとても印象的です。個人的にもこの生成りステッチが大好きですが、その理由はおそらく生成りがカッコ良かったとかでは無く「染め糸よりも生成り糸の方がコストが安かった」からなのでしょう。

そんな製造業観点から生まれる偶然の産物が、結果としてヴィンテージデニムの象徴的なディテールとなり、現代でも私たちを魅了してくれます。
今回のカバーオールはラグランスリーブの為、肩周りに曲線的に走るトリプルステッチがとても美しく見えます。

3本針チェーンステッチによるパッカリングの美しさもぜひ楽しんでいただければと思います。

Speaking of the sewing on the new chore coat, we use Union Special 35800G to apply the triple chain stitch of 9/32 inch.
I always feel that the undyed sewing threads look best on this kind of chore coat and I love it but the reason why it was used was just for cheaper cost.

This kind of details which come from the manufacturing reasons are just byproducts but now considered as the iconic details which attracts vintage lovers.
It’s a raglan sleeved chore jacket so the triple stitches that run from the shoulders to the back are beautiful! Also I love the unique puckering fade on the triple chain stitch!
