Workersの舘野さんにお借りしたラッパをUNION SPECIALの51800Gに装着してセナ君が縫製。
左では身頃、右には襟、そして真ん中には上下の帯という４箇所から送り出される裁断物に気を使いながら縫製していく必要が有ります。
２人羽織の様に後ろから身頃と襟を持つ人を用意した方が良いのではとも思いましたが何とか習得して縫い上げてくれております。
アイロンを使わずラッパを使いチェーンステッチで縫い上げて行きます。
ユニオンスペシャルの縫い目はどちらかと言えば縫うより編むに近い。と私は説明させて頂く事があります。
洗った瞬間から台襟のパッカリングの表情が素晴らしい。
色落ちが良いからチェーンステッチを使ったでは無く、製造業観点で製造工程を組んだ結果、偶然に生まれた副産物の台襟の色落を楽しんで下さい。

Sena is working on the neck band with Union Special 51800G ,using the attachment I borrowed from Tateno-san from Workers
On the left, there’s the body of the chore jacket, on the right there’s a collar, and on the center there are a front & a back neck band, so he gotta be carefully sewing and assembling 4 different parts in one process. In order to do this well, I even thought it’s better to have a guy behind Sena just to hold the fabrics but he’s now mastered doing it by himself. The seams on Union Special are more like knitting than sewing. That’s how I interpret it, but just after our factory wash, the feel on the collar look amazing.
People did not choose to use chain stitching because they knew it’d fade nicely but it was just an accidental byproduct of the efficient manufacturing process. I hope you grab this jacket and feel and understand it!
