三毛猫のオスが生まれる確率は1/30,000。
一時期、三毛猫を見かけるたびに性別を確認していたことがありますが、やっぱりほとんどがメスでした。
だから、妻に三毛猫カラーを着てもらうとやっぱりしっくりくる。

そんな想いからインスパイアされた Calico Hoodie は、発売以来、多くの方々に大好評をいただいています。三毛猫の独特なカラーリングから着想を得て、Vintage Sweatでは“スペシャル”と言われる配色を取り入れ、仕上げました。

そういえば、私が子供の頃、ファッションに興味を持ち始めた時、海外に目を向けたきっかけのひとつにこんなものがありました。
『実用的にフードを使う』 ということ。

住んでいるエリアによっては、1日の中で暑い時間と寒い時間があったり、通り雨に一瞬見舞われたりすることがあります。そんな環境で過ごす人たちは、フードを本当に“実用的”に使っている。きっと、それはファッションというよりも生活必需品——日本人にとっての傘みたいなものかもしれません。

今では娘にも、外を歩くときはフードを被るようにと英才教育中です（笑）。

At one time, I would check the gender every time I saw a calico cat, but as the statistics shows I’ve never seen a male calico cat in my life.
So when my wife wears a calico color, it just fits her, maybe looks far better than me wearing it.
Inspired by this idea, the Calico Hoodie has been really popular and we have already less than 10 pcs for each size.

When I was a child and started to become interested in fashion, one of the reasons I turned my attention to overseas style was this.
“Using a hood for practical purposes”.
I mean people do wear a hoodie in Japan but somehow no one really uses the hood.

Depending on the area you live in, there are times during the day when it is hot and times when it is cold, and you may be caught in a sudden rain shower. People who live in such an environment use hoods truly “practical”. I’m sure it’s more of a necessity of life than fashion — like an umbrella for Japanese people.
Now I’m giving my daughter a special lesson in how to wear a hood when walking outside (laughs).
