いつも撮影でお世話になってるKIRIYAMAさんが主催するキリヤマルシェ
事の発端を本人に聞くと、

『世の中には様々なイベントが有るけど怖がりの相棒犬 Laylaと暮らす自分は気軽に行く事が出来なかった。であればそのイベントに出てて食べて見たかった,会って見たかった人たちに来て貰うイベントを自分で作れば良いと思った。』
『そうする事で同じ思いの犬と暮らす方達も来てくれるはず』
との事。
彼の思いは的中し、過去のイベントでも人間の数に負けない程の犬の来場数が不思議な空間となっています。
そんな気持ちからスタートしたイベントが更に盛り上がり、この度はなんと場所を倉敷翠松高等学校にて開催との事。
更に桐山さんはこう仰られました。
今回は食事以外にも絵描きさん　桐山さんのモヒカンドレッドを作る散髪屋さん　TCBjeans等の手に職系の人たちも呼ぶと決めていた。
ついつい視野が狭くなってるのかもしれない学生たちに地域には様々な職業で頑張ってる人達がいるんだよ！
という事も伝えたかったみたいです。
かくいう私も学校という施設には何かしらの恩返しはしないと行けない方なので、1人にでも良いので、物作りって良いな。楽しそうだな！という気持ちにさせれたら嬉しく思います。

意外と知られてないんだけど、シマシマの濃い部分はインディゴになります。
だから着用時、デニム同様に色落ちしますし、なんなら縦落ちもします。
KIRIYAMAさんの色落ちも会場で飾ろうかと思いますのでそちらも楽しみにして下さい。

Kiriya Marche is hosted by KIRIYAMA-san, who always helps me with TCB photos. When I asked him why he started the event, he said,
“There are many events out there, but I couldn’t go to most of them because I live with my timid dog, Layla. So I thought I should create an event which everyone can enjoy with their beloved dogs.”

His idea was right, and in the past events, the number of dogs who came was as many as the number of people, creating a mysterious space.
The event that started with that feeling has become even more exciting, and this time it will be held at Kurashiki Suisho High School.

Kiriyama-san also said,
This time, in addition to food, he decided to invite artisans such as painters, the haircutter who makes Kiriyama’s mohawk dred style, and TCBjeans.
He also wanted to convey to students who may have a narrow perspective that there are people working hard in various professions in the area! I myself feel that I have to give something back to schools ( I must have been a naughty student back then), so I would be happy if I could make even one person feel that making things is good and fun!

Today’s photo features the HANDYMAN Hickory, which I’ll also be bringing to the event. It’s not widely known, but the darker stripes are actually indigo. So, just like denim, they fade with wear and even develop vertical fading. I’ll also be displaying KIRIYAMA-san’s faded piece at the venue, so look forward to that too!
