私はTCBの仕事では
『0と10の法則』
を大事にしてきました。
「0」というのは、デニムが生まれる段階、つまり制作過程のことを指しています。
どんな人がどんな場所で作ってるか。
生地の原綿を紹介したり、若手がミシンを頑張ってる姿だったり。
そして、商品として完成した段階は「1」になります。
店頭に並んでる状態。
そこから着用者の手に渡り、年月をかけて穿き込んで行きます。
色落ちして着用者の相棒になってる一番理想とする状態、それを『10』
としてます。
『0の段階』

『2〜9の段階』
長い年月をかけてお客様に使い込んでいただく段階

お客さまにも、このステップを楽しんでもらえたらいいなと思いながら商品を作っています。

最近のBlogを振り返ると1ばかり。
生産者ならではの0や可愛がって頂いてる2~10をもっともっと紹介したいとリペアから上がったカッコイイ20’sを観ながら誓う44歳の夏。

In my work at TCB, I have always valued the “the rule of 0 and 10.” 0 refers to the stage when denim is born, that is, the production process. Who is making it and where is it made? We introduce the raw cotton of the fabric, and young people working hard on sewing machines.

And the stage when it is completed as a product is “1.” It is lined up in the store. From there, it is passed on to the wearer, who wears it over the years. The most ideal state, when it has faded and become a good companion to the wearer, is “10.”

“Stage 0” The stage when denim is being made. Introduced on Instagram and in the making video on the online shop.

“Stage 1” The stage when the product is completed. Listed as a product for sale on the online shop.

“Stages 2 to 9” The stage when customers use it for many years.

“Stage 10” The stage when the used feel such as color and flavor is born. Introduced on Instagram, blogs, and videos. We make our products with the hope that our customers will enjoy these steps. Looking back at my recent blog posts, it’s all about 1s.

As a 44-year-old jeans guy, I vow to introduce more of the cool “2 to 10 processes”. In order to do it, our products should be loved by you. We will keep making the products that make you want to love.
