RivetをLevi以外が打つ事を許せなかった時代。
Rivetに負けない強度を出そうと各社が競った様々なステッチが現代観るとデザインに見えるのが面白い。
私が専務にVintageを見せた時に
『こんな大変なのを再現するの？』
と渋い顔をしてましたが、次の日には
『Vintageは4つとも形が違うから４つのステッチ全て拾って再現して縫うよ！』
とフロントポケットの4つのステッチを全てトレースし、生地で実際に試して縫ってくれました。

When the brands other than Levis wasn’t allowed to use rivets.
Maybe the competitors back then must have beaten their brain out how they could reinforce jeans.
When I showed the vintage to our production manager, Taka, he gave him a glance at the vintage and immediately said, what? this would be much hassle to do for sure.

But next day, he was already ready to perfectly sew the maze like looking pocket reinforcement stitches!
