いつも雑誌の撮影でお世話になってるフォトグラファーの生津さん
今回もTCB20’sにMOTOR×TCBのサスペンダーというスタイルで素敵な撮影時間でした。
私の個人的なイメージですが、雑誌の編集部に収めなければならないクライアントワークですから当たり障りの無い機材で撮られる方が多いイメージですが生津さんの場合はLeicaやHasselbladを使い、『2塁打を狙う写真は辞めた』という素敵な名言を私にくれました。
私もTCBJeansを始める前から言われても無いのに勝手にチェーンステッチはUNION SPECIALを使いジーンズを作ってきました。
どうせ作るならば良いものを作りたい！という気持ちと
使ってて自分達がテンションが上がる道具が良いですよね。
（UNIONは縫い上がりの表情は勿論ですが、縫ってる時の音が最高です）

一見道具のメーカーだけで判断するのはミーハーかも知れませんが何となく私の仕事の機材に対しての考えととてもシンパシーを感じてるので沢山勉強をさせて頂いております。
今回はオフショットでアメリカのDeardorffという暗幕を掛けないと覗けないカメラでも撮影してくれるクレイジーな人です。
前回は2眼のRolleiflexで家族写真も撮って頂いたのでこれは自宅に飾りたいと思います。
さて写真の出来上がりを月末まで楽しみにしてて下さい。

Leicaは撮った写真は勿論ですが、撮ってる時のシャッター音が最高です。

He is Numazu, a professional photographer who loves our jeans!
He mainly uses Leica and Hassleblad for his client works, which I guess is already uncommon in a good way ( Maybe, Canon, Nikon, Sony are preferred in the industry?) but he once said a pretty good line to me, “I don’t aim for a single hit or a two-base anymore but I just go for homerun photos.” I feel something in common with him because I was always fascinated by the chain stitch seams of Union Special even before I established TCB brand, which machines can basically be used only for jeans. Union Special was my dream machine and the work tool that gave me motivation and excitement.
(The seam fades brought by Union Special are great without saying so but what is even better is the sound of the machine when sewing!)

Today, he brought an even rarer camera, Deaddorff which needs a black curtain to see through the finder. I’m pretty excited to see how the photos will turn out!
