20’sJacketの巻き縫いはUnion Special35800の1/4インチ幅を使用してます。
もちろんそれは20’sの巻き縫いの幅を測って同じインチを採用してます。
昔は2本の針の間のパッカリングにばかり目を向けて糸の締め方を調整してましたが、最近は2本の糸の外側のパッカリングの出方というかギャザーみたいな皺の入り方を意識してます。
Vintageの20’sのJacketと旧型ですが同じ生地を使ってる30’sJKのギャザーの入り方を観て頂ければ似てるな！って思って頂けると思います。

We apply the chainstitch lap seams on our 20’s Jacket with Union Special 35800 set with 1/4 seam width, which is of corse exactly the same width as the vintage jacket we own. Back when TCB was just a start-up, I cared more about the roping effect between each seam of the lap seams but nowadays we care more about the gathers beside the lap seams. I’d say how the fade around the seams is so alike between the vintage and our jacket!
