TCBの創業期に私がメインとしてた仕事が意外にもリメイクジーンズの製作でした。
当時BLUE SAKURAを運営してるWHOVALもまだ創業間もなく、社長の石橋さんが色々なブランドの企画を持って帰っては形にするという中でリペア部分は私に一任してくれてたと思います。

At the very first period of TCB JEANS, the main work we had was to make withered jeans.
At that time, WHOVAL, who runs Blue Sakura brand, was also right after the establishment so that the CEO of WHOVAL, Ishibashi-san, used to outsource the withering to TCB.

私も当時からもちろんVintageが大好きだったので、沢山の古着を見て来てリアルな古着の穴の入り方や直してるジーンズは沢山観て来たので新品からボロを作る場合でも、何となく人が着用して破れたとか、このリメイクは母や妻がやったのか、それともプロの仕立て屋が直したのか等、想像しながらステッチしてたのを思い出します。

I was already fascinated by vintage jeans back then so when I do the withering job I always played to my imagination like what kind of workers used to wear these jeans, who did the repairs mom or wife, or a professional repairer, how the jeans were ripped etc. I’d seen lots of worn-out vintages with real rips and repairs so that must have played a big role when doing this job.
