1930-50’sのワークウエアに見られるカラフルに入るバータックが大好きなディテールでTCBでもバータックは色を効かせてる仕様が多いですよね。あれは当時、デザインなのでしょうか？バータックの色で何処の会社と判断出来るようにしてたとかしないとか….
確かに1950年頃になるとデザインは全く一緒なんだけどブランドネームとバータックの色だけ違うカバーオールやオーバーオールを時々見かけますよね…

I like colorful and playful bar tucks often seen on work wears from 30~50’s as you can see from our clothings. Some say it was one of the differentiations each store brand did. There are tons of work wears with the same pattern, the same cut and the same details but with a different woven tag design and the color of bar tucks so I don’t think it’s a total bullshit though.

さて先日娘が会社に遊びに来たのですが、TCBのバータックミシンコーナーの横にはカラフルなバータック用に赤や緑の綿糸が沢山集まってる場所があります。
そして娘にその糸を見せるとテンションが上がって糸で遊び始めました。
現在TCBではカバーオールの在庫が少なくなって来てますが次のバータックの色を決める時は彼女と一緒に決めようと思います。
当時のストアブランドもバータックの色は娘が好きな色を決めてたのかも知れません笑

Well my daughter came over to the factory the other day and she found some boxes full of colorful threads for bar tucks. She was so hyped to find them and started to play around with them. The stocks for our chore jackets are running low at the moment but next time when I need to think about the color of the bar tucks for a new release, maybe I discuss it with my daughter.

※私は会社で糸を仕舞うことが出来ずみんなに迷惑を掛けてるはずですが、彼女は遊んだ後は綺麗に戻してました。
*I’m not very good at keep things tidy and I must bother other TCB crews for sure but she was good at it unlike dad.
